The only good thing I can say about him is his waza card that enables him to drain the opponents life and replenish his with it by throwing them down and sucking their blood.
Don’t get me wrong Halloween Dragunov is not a crappy character. I just don’t like his long attack, which to me is very important in my fighting style. I have noticed his hold attack seems easier to land than other characters for some reason. It’s also different. He charges opponent, knocks them down, then beats them with his fist. This maybe why his hold or strong attack is easier to land. I’ve noticed if the ai tries to basic attack him but he plows right threw it some times. Of course if they waza attack it stops it. I haven’t fought with him a lot so I have a lot to learn still about his strengths and weaknesses. I have a 4* Shaheen which to me is definitely a better character so I use him a lot more. Especially once you can obtain his rank 4 waza strikes. Unfortunately Shaheen only has 1 waza strike of each rank which leaves you with a basic waza strike if you build his deck like I do. 2 stuns (ranks 2 and 3), 3 launches ( 1 rank 2 and 2 rank 3s) , and that leaves the 4 waza strikes. I don’t use guard break waza I feel like it’s a waste. Most of the time they are difficult to land and they don’t do much damage. The only time guard block is useful in my opinion is in dojo when the opponents are bugged and just stand there and block. But you can repeatedly back up launch a long attack and follow it up with a strike attack which many times lands. Once you have them pinned in the corner you can also either basic attack or waza strike right when they get up and these attacks usually land. I’m sure most players agree with me on the guard break waza since in dojo once I get into the higher levels most opponents I notice do not have any guard breaks

I forgot to add that the fighting method I provided about story mode will not work in hard mode since the ai is more intelligent. Also, in dojo , both fighters start off with one card loaded. Wait for opponent to use his then try to land yours. This will back him/her up a bit leaving you more room to stay away from the random waza attacks. If you do get close to getting back all the way up so that are at far left side of screen as possible, keep an eye on his Waza Cards and the loading . After opponent uses his last waza attack that has fully loaded so it is available for use and you think another one won’t be available to use before you attack unload a waza combo on them to back them up so you can wait until all opponents cards have been used so that you can go fully offensive. Once the ai is out of Waza Cards they tend do play a lot more defensively. I can usually acquire all 6 of my chests without having to heal with this method. Also you will still have about 60 seconds (that’s usually around the time opponent has used all his waza) to go offensive if your worried this method taking to long and losing the fight to timing out. 60 seconds is plenty of time to win especially since you will have most of your Waza Cards left to whoop that ass.
Pisses me off Namco had Tier 4 Awakening Stones available in life event the past two days. But today, there was no life event for Tier 4 Water Awakening Stone. I don’t wanna spend a crap ton of gems in the shop to get one. It’s the only one I need right now to level up a tier 4 character. They should have made them available to obtain all 4 days of the element life events. Plus no Black Friday deals of any kind? Wtf
Grats! I wish I had him rank 4. He’s one of the best in my opinion.
Dragunov. When you use his waza Grave Digger he throws his opponents down, sucks the blood out of their neck, and gains health from it.
Akuma. I play on IOS so I’m not sure if it’s the same on consoles. On IOS he doesn’t even have to be near the player for his rage to do damage. It looks like he just launches fireworks on them.
If you have either of the two characters below try these tactics for story mode. Will work for some of the other characters too.
Bruce is great because of his fast long attack and quick with his hands. In story mode back up as far as possible from opponent. They will either launch their long attack or do a hold attack. When they launch their long attack simply launch yours and his knee will counter there’s and you can follow it up with either 4 more taps, waza strike, or if your really good both. The hold attack is easy since you see them glow. When they get close use his quick hands or you could use a waza strike. It’s all about timing. I save my Waza Cards for combo when their health gets low so I don’t have to worry about them raging me. I have a 4* tho but the method works for any rank.
Second best is Bruce. You can basically do the same with him but the timing is a little different. Will take some practice but once you master it you can defeat opponents in very hard mode (or the easier modes if you don’t have rank 4s) with losing very little health and often none.
This method will not work as well in dojo. What I do is stay as far away from the opponent as possible until he uses all his waza. In dojo the ai randomly uses their waza when they are not even close to you. I’m in the highest rank in dojo, currently 99 out of all the players that play the game. So even tho I’m fighting tougher opponents they still use all their waza without even hitting me.
One other tip. If your attempting to get grand master in dojo or even just some rewards, once you have all your dojo chests achieved and you can’t hold anymore always fight the weakest team. You still get the same amount of points since the points are based off the strength of your team not theirs.
From what I’ve read a good majority of players say he is the best in the game. I don’t have him rank 4 yet so don’t use him often. I do notice in dojo he is more difficult to fight then any of the others. Many put them on their defense team and claim they get a lot of wins which also speeds up your key retrieval. Only put him on your defense team if he is the same rank as your other 2 players or if he doesn’t lower your defense strength points. For example if you had him maxed out at rank 3 you could put him on your defense team if the other two were rank 4. Just make sure you get the highest level key really. Hope this helps.

I play on I pad tho. I doubt these methods work for consoles.

I play Tekken 7 on IOS but I’m sure this method would work on Android.
