You sure that Xia got most screen time? I think Reina and Lidia have it most Xiaoyu has rather similar to Alisa.

No xiaaoyu still got more screen time than those too even with story dlc

I really do like the pairings. But when it comes to make fanfics or the game itself, it's meh.

Actually both Jin and Xiaoyu are good friends and what we've seen in the non-canon endings in the previous games to see more of Xiaoyu's love and crush towards Jin that goes for cheesy talks, obssession (seen in SFXT) and being forced to see how Xiaoyu feels for Jin just to reciprocate her love to him as he himself, just standing there after he barely responded to her in a friendly manner.

Fanfics are not a bad thing i guess to be honest i would write or try to animate the rest of the Tekken after story DLC and rewrite the plot a bit but i'm simply too lazy to do it. Jin doesn't care about Xiaoyu because he basically didn't care about anything except destroying Ogre, Mishima Bloodline and Azazel but now it 'seems' that everything is over and Jin is finally starting to appreciate his friends so maybe he will feel something for Xiaoyu.

Well it's true that he brought the war because he had to choose the lesser evil like Azazel was a threat to the entire world as well as Devil Gene users but Jin has now changed his attitude and is not so cold and emotionally closed towards others but still as i tell he didn't want to get emotionally involved with anyone and was always closed to others because he was too focused on his goals (maybe i used wrong words that he doesn't care because i didn't mean it exactly) but now in T8 it's completely different.
