Wait do you mean that Yoshimitsu is strong enough to defeat such creatures as Azazel or Ogre? I highly doubt about Yoshimitsu struggles with Bryan who isn't even strongest human in this game.

Even my highballed Yoshimitsu who is supposed to be able to fight Mishima family members could beat almost any human in this game but he still couldn't beat devil gene. (where in the main canon story he was recently trashed by Heihachi and portrayed as the weakest character who fought him and other two were Lidia and Eddy who didn't do anything impressive until the dlc story where only Lidia actually did well)

Unfortunately i doubt that normal Yoshi could even beat Kuma II (who is a worthy opponent for Paul who is top tier human) let alone Ogre or Azazel. Yoshi deserves to be top tier in strength but Mishima members have Devil Gene powers that are simply superior there is also Azazel himself who was able to be a threat on global level which would make it better to start world war to finally destroy him.

If i had to choose anyone apart from the obvious choices like Jin, Kazuya, Lars, Heihachi especially at their strongest (Jin and Kazuya are the strongest characters in verse) Heihachi who previously faced Super Devil Kazuya got stronger and Lars who faced True Devil Kazuya despite being overpowered and he fought on an equal footing with each of the above mentioned guys) then i would choose Claudio.

Claudio Sirius-Style Exorcism Sorcery is one of the most powerful fighting styles in the universe he was strong enough to be recognized by Heihachi but the most important thing was his most impressive feat i.e. serious injured and makes to retreat True Devil Kazuya by his powerful abilitiy ''Spear of Kephalos'' so since he was able to hurt and force practically strongest character in the universe to retreat i think he could defeat the Ogre with his power or Azazel.

He even was able to stop and bind him whereas before Alisa, Hwoarang, Lee, Victor, Reina and Lars fought him and could barely move him although Reina and Lars didn't fight seriously at first.
