I said it’s the “Tekken-like idea”, but what’s really similar between this and Tekken?
The sidestep has the same input. Tap the up arrow. In my game and Tekken, you have to tap it quickly to get a sidestep but in my game just holding it will make you go forwards.
There’s the same normal attack system. Four buttons, two punches and two kicks, each for a limb.
It prioritizes long, complex combos. You should see my concept command lists! One character in specific has over two hundred fifty attacks!
It has a Devil Gene-esque thing. The Demonic Heritage is a thing some characters have. It’s genetic and gives characters a connection with the Hellfire, a strong power that can allow you to transform into a demon of war. One of my two MCs has the Eternal Heritage, which can give him a stronger, reality warping form of Hellfire called the Eternal Hellfire and an inner strength called the Divine Order.
Throwing people off cliffs is a thing. Especially with a family. There’s three families that want to kill each other in the story, and guess what? They’re all the families of MCs that also include baddies. One in particular involves a lot of confronting Hellfire and throwing the brother off a volcano…
Most of the cast is connected to one family. That’s one of my MC’s. They’re a clan of powerful and ancient warriors and magicians who created their own type of magic, and they were the ones to originally use the Demonic Heritage, which evolved to the Eternal Heritage in specific branches. Well, they also started the whole war with the demons and they’re all on different sides and they all try to kill each other and the whole reason there even is this idea I made is because a family got awfully tangled up in a god/demon mess and started a huge war between universes that now concerns way more stuff that you don’t need to understand until I publish the fifth game.
And those are the similarities to Tekken.
