So... people today are still a bit confused, as to what exactly happened in the Tekken 3 tournament, besides Paul beating Ancient Ogre, and Jin beating True Ogre. Well... I think I finally got the "proper" answer.
So... during the very last matches of the King of Iron Fist Tournament 3, it was Jin vs Hwoarang, and Paul vs Forest Law. Hwoarang and Forest advanced pretty well in the tournament, but Hwoarang was defeated by Jin, and Forest was defeated by Paul.
Then, sometime later, Paul was curious about the "God of Fighting", Ogre, and wanted to fight him, so he went to the room of the temple, where Ogre was, just like in the game. This means that Jin and Paul, never fought each other in this tournament. At the same time, Jin was told by Heihachi, that Ogre was in this temple, so he goes there as well, but then Heihachi confronts him, saying that he must go through him if he wants to face his mother's killer. The two were standing just like in the game stage of Heihachi and Julia.
Jin accepts, and Jin fights Heihachi, while Paul fights Ancient Ogre. After Jin defeated Heihachi, and Paul defeated Ancient Ogre, Paul leaves the area, and Jin proceeds to the room where Ogre was, who was now morphed to True Ogre. Jin defeats True Ogre, and Jin's Tekken 3 ending happens.
