Abolishing Fist (忌怨拳 Kienken?, lit. "Abhorring Grudge Fist") is a move used by Kazuya Mishima since Tekken Tag Tournament.

Description[]

The move is a heavy right cross to the opponent's midsection, similar in style but faster than the Demon God Fist.

On Counter Hit, the opponent was initially shifted slightly towards Kazuya's left while also being put into a crumple state.

Usage[]

Abolishing Fist is one of Kazuya's main tools in dishing out powerful combos. The hit tracks fully in any direction, and can stun an opponent on Counter Hit, giving a formidable frame advantage and allowing for a follow up with an Electric Wind God Fist.

While this move has great attributes and follow-up potential, a failed or blocked Abolishing Fist is very unsafe with slow recovery, leaving the player open to retaliation.

It should also be noted, however, that all of these properties were balanced as the series progressed. Though as of Tekken 4, it is the most common starter and buffer for Kazuya's "Perfect" Electric Wind God Fist.

In Tekken 5.0, the move had inconsistent blockstun. While around -13 on block, it would be made safer when blocked at point-blank range.[1]

Trivia[]

  • In prior command lists from Japanese sources, the move's Japanese furigana was rendered as "Ienken" (with an i) instead. It was not until Tekken 5 that it was written as "Kienken".
