Abolishing Fist (忌怨拳 Ki'enken?, lit. "Abhorring Grudge Fist") is a move used by Kazuya Mishima since Tekken Tag Tournament.

Description[]

The move is a heavy right cross to the opponent's midsection, similar in style but faster than the Demon God Fist.

Usage[]

Abolishing Fist is one of Kazuya's main tools in dishing out powerful combos. First, the hit tracks fully at any direction. Second, this move can stun an opponent on Counter Hit and gives a formidable frame advantage (at 13 frames), meaning that if one is good at using Electric Wind God Fist, then the player can set the opponent up for a good launcher, and possibly perform more damaging combos at disposal. It should be warned that while this move has great attributes and follow-up potential, a failed or blocked Abolishing Fist is very unsafe with slow recovery, leaving the player open to retaliation.

It should be noted, however, that all of these properties were balanced as the series progressed.

In regards to following up a successful hit of the Abolishing Fist into an Electric Wind God Fist, the Perfect Electric Wind God Fist exclusive to Kazuya is often the most used launcher at high levels of play.

Trivia[]

  • The art of Shotokan Karate where striking techniques are trained to unleash unstoppable power is evident in all of Kazuya's move list. Examples of the moves used by him are Sokushitsu Goda, Double Back Fist, Agony Spear, Kumo Kiri, Demon's Wrath, and many more.
  • In prior command lists from Japanese sources, the move's Japanese furigana was rendered as "I'enken" instead. It was not until Tekken 5 that it has been named as "Ki'enken".
