Eternal Punishment, also nicknamed Asuka's Ultimate Tackle, is a special move exclusively used by Asuka Kazama since Tekken 5.

Description[]

When executed, Asuka will tackle the opponent, knocking them down while saying "Shibaitaru!" (Translation: "Got something for you!") It can be followed up with mounted punches (2,1,2,1_2,1,1,2), the former damaging a total of 25, the latter 32. With every punch, she verbally assaults the opponent by saying "Boke! Aho! aho! boke! shine!" (Translation: "Idiot! fool! fool! idiot! die!").

Usage[]

Asuka's Ultimate Tackle cannot be avoided by pressing 2 like a regular ultimate tackle and none of her punches can be reversed or blocked, but she can be overturned by pressing 1+2 upon landing on the ground, and the tackle itself can be reversed. The tackle is automatically followed up with a left punch even if no input is made; the "2" input is the second punch.

If Asuka tackles the opponent from behind, she will instead use the generic Ultimate Tackle.

Trivia[]

  • Although the Ultimate Tackle punches and slaps were given a new animation and hit count from Tekken Tag Tournament 2 onwards, Asuka's Ultimate Tackle still uses the original slap animation from prior games.
  • This is among the few attacks that trigger Bryan Fury's laugh.
