Baek debuts in the second game and his anime appearance in Tekken: The Motion Picture as he had shoulder-length black hair tied in a low ponytail. In his in-game appearance in Tekken 2 until Tekken Tag Tournament, he is depicted to have brown hair. In Tekken 5 and onward, his hair is now gray due to aging.
As a child, he has short brown hair and wears a light blue short sleeve shirt, blue pants and black sneakers. In his ending in Tekken Tag Tournament 2, he is depicted to wear shorts instead of pants.
Tekken 2[]
Baek appears to have black hair in his CGI appearance and his ending but in his in-game appearance, he is depicted to have brown hair.
Player 1 outfit:
Baek wears a beige taekwondo dobok with a sign reading "Korea" at the back, as well as black hangul lettering on the left side of his chest reading "한" and large lettering at the back. The pants of his dobok are tattered at the hems and tied with a black belt. Baek also wears red footguards.
- In his ending, he wears white sneakers as well as the locket from his Player 2 outfit, which contains a picture of his late father.
- In Tekken: The Motion Picture, he wears this outfit and his hair is still black which he was based on his CGI appearance.
- The hangul "한" (han) means 'one'. It is also used as a way to refer to Korea, but it has also come to have a special cultural meaning of resilient resentment in South Korea.
Player 2 outfit:
In this outfit Baek dresses more casually. He wears a red vest with a large taegeuk symbol at the back back, pale blue jeans with a black belt around the waist, and brown shoes. He also wears black wristbands on both wrists and a locket which contains a picture of him and his late father.
- This outfit is later seen in his Tekken 5 prologue after it was revealed that he survives Ogre's attack at the events between Tekken 2 and Tekken 3, and his jeans are seen in tatters.
Tekken Tag Tournament[]
Baek's hair is naturally brown in his renders as it is in his in-game appearance.

Tekken 5/Dark Resurrection[]
Baek returns in Tekken 5 and has a drastic change in his appearance. His hair is now gray and he gains a beard similar to his father's.
Player 1 outfit:
He wears an updated version of his Tekken 2 primary outfit. He now has a taegeuk at the left side of his dobok along with a black hangul, and the large black hangul is replaced with a black hawk design at the back of his dobok. His black martial arts belt now has six stripes at the left sash signifying him as a master of Taekwondo, while the right sash has gold hangul lettering. His foot wraps are now black instead of red, and he has black lines down each sleeve of his dobok and the outer side of his pants.
In Tekken: Dark Resurrection, the color of his dobok is dark red.
Player 2 outfit:
Baek wears a tan formal suit jacket with a dark brown vest over a white, long-sleeved button-up shirt and a black tie. He wears matching tan pants and brown leather dress shoes as well as a matching tan trilby.
In Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, the color of his suit and hat are gray, his vest is now green, his button-up shirt is now light green, and his necktie is now light orange.
- In the time between Tekken 3 and Tekken 4 after recovering from his comatose state, Baek is seen wearing an open gray patient shirt with matching gray pants.
Tekken 6/Bloodline Rebellion[]
Player 1 outfit:
Baek's dobok from Tekken 5 retains its design but is now in pale olive.
Player 2 outfit:
Baek's formal suit from Tekken 5 returns. In the PSP version, his formal shirt is green and his necktie is orange like his Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection Player 2 outfit, but he otherwise retains the brown vest from the arcade version.
- In Scenario Campaign mode, where he is the boss of West Coast Canal Industrial Complex, Baek retains this outfit but without the hat.
Player 3 outfit:
Baek's Player 3 outfit consists of a red, mesh, sleeveless top with thick blue trim around the sleeve holes and hem, as well as a logo at the front which contains a taegeuk. He has matching red mesh wrist and upper arm guards tied at each end with red straps, and around his waist he wears a blue belt tied at his right hip with the same stripes and hangul as his Player 1 belt. He wears loose-fitting gray trousers which are tucked into orange shin guards that have a black trim at the bottom and a black line along the inner side of each. In this outfit, Baek is barefoot.
Baek has five more customizable outfits which must be unlocked either via Scenario Campaign or purchased with in-game fight money.
