Demon Backhand Spin or Double Back Fist (裏拳二段 Riken nidan?) is one of the moves used by the practitioners of Mishima Style Fighting Karate since the original Tekken. Baek Doo San also has this move which is named the Right Punch Back Fist. Ogre and True Ogre also have this move.
Kazuya Mishima replaced this string with the Double Backfist in Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion. Heihachi has a variation of this string called the Quick Executioner. As of Tekken 8 Heihachi has replaced this attack with Dogenkostu and only Devil Jin retains the attack.
In the story mode of Tekken 8, Jin regains access to this move, in which he uses the original animation of the move. Devil Jin's variant replaces the last hit with the second hit of Brimstone Strike.
Description[]
The user performs a right punch and follows up with a quick spinning back fist. When used by Ogre in Tekken Tag Tournament 2, the initial right punch is instead an elbow.
If 1 is pressed before the string the string is preceded by a jab and called Demon Slayer/Back Fist Combo.
Usage[]
As a move that can be spammed against an unguarded opponent, the Demon Backhand Spin can give the player a solid frame advantage much like the Demon Slayer. This is possible because the move is simpler, easy to perform, and runs at -10 frames, but it is rarely used due to the superior damage and range of the normal Demon Slayer and the greater flexibility of the Flash Punch Combo, both of which are also 10-frame attacks.
When used by Ogre in Tekken Tag Tournament 2, the initial right punch is instead an elbow, meaning it cannot be parried by most Attack Reversals.
