Julia Chang is a Native American woman with brown eyes and medium-length brown hair, braided down the back and with a long fringe parted to each side of her face. Julia is often seen wearing a Native American headdress with two feathers tucked into the left-hand side, as well as matching earrings.
Her general appearance remains the same throughout the series, although her hair changes to reflect the passage of time; in Tekken 3, her hair was shoulder length and she wore it in twin braids. From Tekken 4 onward, her hair is much longer. In Tekken 7, she now dons a shorter hairstyle, wearing her twin braids much shorter at about shoulder length, and wearing them braided over her shoulders rather than behind them. She no longer wears any Native American accessories in her main outfit.
Julia tends to dress in western or Native American attire, while her secondary outfits tend to be more casual, wearing jeans and denim jackets and sporting the glasses which she is commonly seen wearing in her prologues.
Tekken 3[]
Player 1 outfit:
Julia wears a short, brown, sleeveless crop top with a single crossed lace over a green sleeveless midriff, a blue denim skirt with a brown belt, white knee-high socks and brown cowboy boots with black soles and yellow designs. She also wears a white armband with geometric patterning on her right arm, a matching necklace of traditional design, a red patterned headdress with two feathers on the left-hand side, and brown fingerless gloves with large cuffs that have a red, white, and blue pattern.
Player 2 outfit:
She now wears a red sleeveless vest over a brown high-neck midriff-exposing mesh shirt, blue jeans with a brown-buckled black belt around her waist and red sneakers. She also wears leopard print elbow pads and a matching headband in place of her headdress and brown gloves. Like her adoptive mother Michelle, her hair is tied in a single braid.
Tekken Tag Tournament[]
Player 1 outfit:
Her Player 1 outfit is recolored into khaki as her headdress is purple.
Player 2 outfit:
A variation of her Player 2 outfit, her pants are recolored orange, her mesh shirt is black in color and her shirt and sneakers are recolored black to match her mesh shirt.

Tekken 4[]
Julia has grown her hair longer, and has now tied it into two braids. She also gains two new outfits.
Player 1 outfit:
Julia's Player 1 outfit is her researcher work-wear, which consists of a blue denim blazer jacket over a white long-sleeved collared midriff with a blue collar and linings at the edge, blue jeans with a brown belt along with blue and white patterned design resembles a chain adorned with a feather and three white flowery designs and white sneakers. Her finger-less gloves are now white with red ribbon and spike designs, and she wears red glasses with this outfit. Julia also wears a three turquoise bead necklace along with a matching bead bracelet on her right wrist.
Player 2 outfit:
Julia now wears a short black sleeveless button shirt with purple linings, short lime green gym shorts and lime green cowboy boots with white V-neck folded sleeves. This outfit is accessorized with brown finger-less gloves, a black traditional necklace, a lime green band around her right thigh, and white knee socks.
She also wears this outfit in her Tekken 6 ending, although her cowboy boots are replaced with black sneakers with red designs which she used for mountain climbing.
Tekken 5/Dark Resurrection[]
Player 1 outfit:
Her Player 1 outfit is an update of her primary outfit from Tekken 3; her brown mini vest is replaced with a dark brown short crop top to match her green crop top, her denim skirt becomes darker and has white ripped designs at the edge, her knee-high socks now reach up to just below her knees and her brown cowboy boots are decorated with patterns in a darker shade of brown instead of the previous colorful designs. Her armband is now black with white designs, her Native American headdress is now purple and cyan and her traditional necklace is replaced with a black necklace bearing a round blue pendant and a gray winged design in each sides.
In Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, her crop top is now cyan, and she wears a faded black denim skirt with white cowboy boots.
Player 2 outfit:
Julia's Player 2 outfit is almost identical to her Tekken 4 Player 2 outfit, except her denim blazer now has an eagle design on the back and she wears white cowboy boots instead of sneakers. Her white long sleeved midriff is replaced with a white long sleeve button-up shirt along with a blue ribbon.
She also wears this outfit in both her and Ganryu's ending.
In Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, her denim blazer is now red, her jeans are recolored white and she wears brown cowboy boots.
Tekken 6/Bloodline Rebellion[]
Player 1 outfit:

Her denim skirt changes to royal blue.
Player 2 outfit:
Julia now wears a dark blue long-sleeved, low-cut top over a white sleeveless undershirt, pale blue denim Capri pants and black boots. This outfit is accessorized with a colorful hairband, matching necklace and dark pink glasses.
Along with various other outfit pieces, Julia has three more customizable outfits that can be purchased with in-game fight money or unlocked via Scenario Campaign mode.

Swap Costume:
Julia's swap costume is based on Chun-Li, and she wears a blue sleeveless Chinese design midriff, long blue skirt with yellow linings which reaches to just above her knees over short blue denim shorts and brown knee-high boots. She has two ribbon ox horns in her hair, one on each side of her head, and gains an extra braid in her hair. Julia maintains the headdress and finger-less gloves of her primary outfit.
Alternate Costume:
Julia wears an outfit similar to Robin Hood's; she wears a brown short-sleeved mini jacket over a matching brown sleeveless midriff with green vest underneath, green western skirt from which two brown cloths are hanging loosely, green leggings and brown thigh high boots. She also wears a hunter's hat on her head and has a bow and arrow fastened to the back of her outfit.
Tekken 7/Fated Retribution[]
Julia returns in Tekken 7 along with Craig Marduk and Armor King II as the fifth DLC character and part of the Season Pass 2 after Anna Williams, Lei Wulong, and guest character Negan. She cuts her long brown hair to medium-length, resembling her Tekken 3 appearance, and it is now tied in two loose braids. Her glasses are now pink with a yellow gradient at the bottom, and have large round lenses.
Player 1 outfit:
Julia wears an open, plaid patterned coat in different shades of purple and pink over a periwinkle zippered hoodie with the zipper undone over her midriff and upper chest, zipped only directly under her chest. Under this, she wears a white shirt with a slot neckline and a green "Reforestation" logo over the chest. Julia also wears light blue denim shorts with a pale brown, partially braided belt around her waist under a lighter brown holster strap, the holster itself sitting at her right upper thigh. With this outfit, Julia wears blue and light green Converse-style boots folded down into cuffs with white laces. She also wears silver, fingerless gloves with spring green backs and lime green guards along the back of each hand. On the right side of her coat, Julia wears a green I.D. badge with her photo, name, identification number, and the Reforestation logo.
Player 2 outfit:
Julia's Player 2 outfit is a palette swap of her primary outfit. Her coat is now purple and turquoise, and the hoodie underneath is yellow. Her shirt is a slightly brighter shade of white, her jeans are slightly darker, and her belt and holster are a dark, pale blue and dark blue respectively. Her shoes are pink with blue-green socks, the lime green and spring green of her gloves is replaced with pink, and her green I.D. badge is now a matching pink.
Aside from her Player 1 and Player 2 outfits, Julia has 6 preset outfits that can be chosen or made via the customization screen, and a gold metallic outfit that is unlocked only by purchasing Tekken 7's Season Pass 1 DLC. Like all female characters in Tekken 7 excluding Lidia, Zafina, and Panda, she can be equipped with the Diva Bikini, Santa Bikini, and Tropical Bikini.
Preset 1: Julia's preset 1 "Scholar" outfit consists of a long, hooded, electric blue coat with a pale yellow-green interior and black panels down the arms from the shoulder, a white sleeveless blouse with a frilled neckline open to show a black bra, a short black skirt with a small slit on the left and right sides, matching control-top black pantyhose, and white high heels. With this outfit, Julia also wears a lime green arm band on her left arm with the "Reforestation" logo, one silver bracelet on her left wrist, a brown, leather bracelet with an engraved silver plate on her right wrist, a double strand pearl necklace, earrings with a green gem in both ears, and a brown leather crossbody sling bag on which her name tag is pinned.
