Tekken Command Battle (鉄拳コマンドバトル) is a mobile spin-off game of the Tekken series that was released in Japan in 2001. The game was only playable through the 3G EZweb internet service from the Japanese company au/KDDI. It is a typing-based game that features three commands (attack, parry, throw) which players have to type quicker than their rival player in order to do the most damage.[1]

The game uses renders from Tekken Tag Tournament.

A sequel, Tekken Command Battle 2 was released in 2002.

Gameplay[]

The typing action game that allows the player to play alone or communicate with other players directly with acquaintances (by specifying a phone number) or with a player they do not know.

By selecting a technique such as attack, throw, or defense before the battle, the player enters the characters' technique commands as they are. If the commands are entered within the time limit, the technique will be effective. However, not only the validity and invalidity of the technique, but also the superiority and inferiority compared to the technique attribute given by the opponent and the typing input speed are comprehensively judged, and the victory or defeat for each round is decided. The loser loses life gauge points. The final victory or defeat will be the one with the life gauge set to zero or the one with the larger gauge at the end of the prescribed round. The winner then learns new techniques.[2]
