Hachiman Mishima (三島 八幡 Mishima Hachiman?) was a member of the Mishima Clan. He appeared in the non-canonical novel Tekken: the dark history of mishima. He had a son named Jingo, who killed Hachiman because he was evil.
Trivia[]
- The name Hachiman is likely derived from the important figure of the same name in Shinto and Shinto-Buddhism. Originally an emperor, Hachiman was later deified, and worshiped in ancient times as a god of agriculture and fishing. He later became associated with fate in battle and martial arts, with many important samurai clans claiming descendence from him. In this latter role, his legendary status maps more clearly onto the derivatively-named Hachiman in Tekken: the dark history of mishima, who serves as a legendary samurai ancestor to the present day Mishima.
