Jack (ジャック Jakku?, Russian: Джек), sometimes capitalized as JACK, is the name of a series of robots that are upgraded in each main installment in the Tekken series of fighting games. There has been a playable Jack model in every main Tekken game except for Tekken 4. Prototype Jack is seen as separate to the main line.

Biography[]

The first Jack model robot was developed in the former Soviet Union by Doctor Bosconovitch and was designed to be a ruthless killing machine. The Russian military learned of Kazuya Mishima’s plans for a world coup d’etat and dispatched Jack to the tournament to eliminate him.[6]

The original Jack did not complete his mission to kill Kazuya. He was subsequently upgraded with improved AI circuitry and renamed Jack-2.

On a germ warfare mission, Jack-2 abandoned its objective when it came across a young infected girl (whom his system should have identified as an enemy insurgent). He fled from the conflict, taking the girl, Jane, with him. The Russian military kept Jack-2’s desertion from the public and scrambled to find him. Meanwhile, Jack-2 entered The King of Iron Fist Tournament 2 to free Doctor Bosconovitch, his creator, from the Mishima Zaibatsu so that the scientist could make him human.[1]

Unfortunately, Jack-2 was destroyed by a satellite weapon before he could complete his mission. Jane, who was present for Jack-2’s destruction, was haunted by his fate. When she reached her late teens, she dedicated 10 years to restoring Jack-2. She got him back to 90% functionality, but Jack-2 seemed to have lost the AI functionality that gave it emotional capabilities. Jane discovered that the Mishima Zaibatsu’s Mishima Industries subsidiary was responsible for most of Jack-2’s programming. She also discovered a hidden program called Project Gun Jack. She installed the program in Jack-2 and tried to sneak into the Mishima Zaibatsu with the newly dubbed Gun Jack to discover more about the mysterious program.[9]

Her infiltration of Mishima Industries was unsuccessful; she and Gun Jack were discovered by Tekken Force and fired upon. Gun Jack shielded Jane, but was non-functional by the time the gunfire ceased due to extensive damage.

Jane was found and rescued by G Corporation the next day. She joined their robotics division and successfully created a new model, Jack-4. Jack-4 models were mass produced and were used by G Corp in an (unsuccessful) attempt to assassinate Kazuya, who was beginning to cause issues for them.

Using data collected from Jack-4 models, Jane began working on a new model, Jack-5. She entered Jack-5 into The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5.[12] When he had finished collecting fight data from the tournament, he returned to the G Corp laboratories. Jane used the data to craft more sophisticated combat algorithms for him.

As the world became engulfed in war and G Corporation entered combat with the Mishima Zaibatsu, Jack units were mass produced and sent to fight. Jane heard that the Mishima Zaibatsu were manufacturing a copy of the Jack unit and was furious. She sent Jack-6, G Corp’s most sophisticated model, to investigate the truth behind the rumors.[13]

A power struggle emerged in G Corporation relating to the creation of the ultimate next-gen humanoid weapon. Jack-7 was entered into The King of Iron Fist Tournament 7 in an attempt to prove its superiority to G Corp’s other humanoid weapon, Gigas.[14]

Personality[]

Having been built as a destructive killing machine, Jack robots are generally very aggressive and do not hesitate to destroy everything in sight.

However, at least one Jack robots was able to show empathy and compassion, as demonstrated by Jack-2's reaction to finding Jane. They also seem to possess the capacity to be very protective of those with whom they share a close bond, even going so far as to sacrifice themselves, as demonstrated by Gun Jack in his Tekken 3 storyline.

Jack-6's personality is explored when playing as him in the Scenario Campaign in Tekken 6, where he is vocal of his love of fighting, strong opponents, and fellow robots. While he is programmed to understand longer words like "biologicals" (his name for humans), he generally has a very child-like way of thinking and speaking, failing to understand a lot of what the other fighters are saying to him, and labeling anything unknown or unfamiliar as "bad".

Appearance[]

The Jack robots, throughout their many incarnations, have maintained the same general appearance - humanoid juggernauts with bulging muscles. While earlier models looked relatively human, the later models have sectionalized skin, making them appear less human. This is especially apparent in the Jack-7 model, where a green glow radiates from the joins in his skin. The most recognizable feature of Jack robots, however, is the distinctive head and face, complete with trademark Mohawk hairstyle, shared by all models of Jack robots.

Story[]

Jack (Tekken)[]

Manual, NTSC
A super slaughtering military machine and super killing robot developed by the former Soviet Union. The Russian military got wind of Kazuya's world coup d'etat plans right away and sent Jack to the tournament to get rid of him. Nothing but a robot could boast of his violent attacks and stupendous power.[6]

Manual, PAL
This military cyborg was originally developed as a shock weapon. Jack's handlers sent him to the tournament to get rid of Kazuya when they got wind of his plans for a world coup d'état. Nothing but a robot could boast his violent attacks and stupendous power.[15]

Version 3
Jack is a super homicidal robot, which was developed by the former Union of Societ Socialist Republics. Quickly catching wind of Kazuya's plans for a worldwide coup d'etat, the Russian military has dispatched Jack to eliminate him before he can strike. Jack takes pride in its unfair attacks and boundless power, power that only a robot could have.[16]

Jack Tekken 1 Ending

Ending Description, "Mass Production"
Jack is shown being strapped onto a machine. A device plugs into a socket in the side of his head, and the camera pans back to reveal many more Jacks being activated. The scene ends with metal doors closing, which have the words "Jack" and "Danger" written on them.

Jack-2 (Tekken 2)[]

Manual, NTSC
An android working for the military, Jack-2 is an improvement over the old Jack from the previous tournament. With a new computer chip, he has the ability to learn from his mistakes. Jack wants to save his creator from Kazuya so that he can become more human.[17]

Manual, PAL
*The PAL manual frames the character profiles as a Mishima Zaibatsu intel report.
The subject apparently malfunctioned and deserted his unit on a routine search and destroy mission, taking an enemy insurgent with him. His creator, Dr Bosconovitch (currently heading the Mishima R & D Division) wishes to study what he interprets as this 'rudimentary emotional response'. The cyborg's Russian handlers want him decommissioned.[18]

Official Website Profile (Japanese)
Jack-2, a military android powered by atomic energy, is the full product version of the Jack series with improved A.I. circuitry. Wanting to test Jack-2's effectiveness against germ warfare, its superiors flung it into battle: their tactic failed. Rather than joining the war, Jack-2 rescued a germ infected little girl in a forest on the battlefield, and fled; even now, its location is unknown. Keeping this information from the public, the military did everything in its power to recover Jack-2 and the little girl. Jack-2 heads to the tournament to save the scientist who designed it from his captor, Kazuya, the tournament's sponsor. Upon rescuing Dr Bosconovitch, Jack-2 plans to ask him to make it human.[1]

Version 4
Jack-2 was an upgrade to the first Jack model. This version was mass produced and tested in germ warfare by the Russian Military. During a mission, however, one of the Jack-2s finds an germ infected girl, Jane, and escapes with her, defying his orders and programming. The Russian military does everything in its power to find the android and keep this incident secret, but they never recover the Jack-2 or the girl. Jack-2 enters the Second Tournament to rescue his creator, Dr. Bosconovitch from Kazuya Mishima, the tournaments sponsor. Upon rescuing Dr. Boskonovitch, Jack-2 plans to ask him to make it human.[citation needed]

Ending Description, "Shut Down"
Jack-2 is shown on a tropical island with a young Jane, who hands him a flower. The camera then pulls back into outer space, revealing a satellite. The satellite opens up and fires a laser at Jack-2, destroying him. As Jane chases a butterfly, Jack-2 falls to the ground, Jane being the final thing he sees before shutting down.

Gun Jack (Tekken 3)[]

Official Strategy Guide
Jack-2 is reborn... When Jane, now a physicist, was eight years old, she was rescued from a bacteriological war by the Russian military robot Jack-2. However, Jack-2 was later destroyed by a satellite weapon as Jane, still a young girl, watched in horror.

Jane, now 27, could not forget the nightmare of having Jack-2 having collapsed beside her. She spent 10 years restoring Jack-2 to 90% functionality, but it seemed to have lost the humane characteristics that set it apart from Jack-1. Jane worked hard analyzing the program in order to return to Jack-2 the gentle soul which had saved her life.

Through detailed analysis, she found that most of Jack-2's programming was created by Mishima Heavy Industry, one of the subsidaries of the Mishima Financial Empire. Moreover, she discovered a hidden program... Project Gun Jack. It laid the groundwork for a new project, a pivot gun.

In order to restore Jack-2 completely, Jane had to approach Mishima Financial Empire and solve the mystery of the project. She quickly installed the hidden program and brought the newly-dubbed Gun Jack to the Mishima Financial Empire.[9]

Tekken_3_Gun_Jack_Ending

Tekken 3 Gun Jack Ending

Ending Description, "Complete?"
Gun Jack is hooked up to a computer. Jane inserts a floppy disc into the computer, which restores the memories of Jack-2. Happy to have restored her companion, Jane climbs onto Gun Jack's shoulder, and he walks outside. As they walk through woodland, Dr. Abel is shown in a satellite. He locks on to Gun Jack and fires an electromagnetic burst at him in an attempt to destroy him, but fails when Gun Jack puts up an energy shield, protecting himself and Jane.

Jack-4 (Tekken 5, Tekken 7)[]

This version was mass-produced and sent to attack Heihachi and Kazuya Mishima at Hon-Maru shortly after The King of Iron Fist Tournament 4. This model has a self-destruct feature, as shown in the Tekken 5 opening movie. This feature was not enough to kill Heihachi, but the blast did throw him several miles, as well as free Jinpachi Mishima from his imprisonment beneath Hon-Maru.

Jack-4s also appear as unplayable enemies in a playable flashback sequence of the Hon-Maru attack in Tekken 7.

Jack-5 (Tekken 5)[]

Official Strategy Guide
Two years ago, a physics scientist named Jane tried to sneak into Mishima Industries with Gunjack. They were discovered by a Tekken Force patrol and were fired upon. Gunjack placed himself in the line of fire to protect Jane. After the hail of bullets stopped, Gunjack had ceased to move.

The day after, Jane was found and rescued by a G Corporation freighter. Jane joined the robotics division of G Corporation and successfully created JACK-4. She used data collected from JACK-4 and began work on a newer model, JACK-5. She saw the upcoming King of Iron Fist Tournament as the perfect chance to test the upgraded JACK-5.[12]

Prologue
Jack-5. A beloved weapon.

GUNJACK protected the physicist Jane when Tekken fighters attacked her inside Mishima Zaibatsu Heavy Industries.

The next day, Jane was saved by a G Corporation freighter. She became an engineer for G Corporation, developing JACK-4 and its successor, JACK-5.

They decided to use The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 for field testing.[19]

Ending Description
Jack-5 returns to have his emotion program installed, and Jane downloads Gun Jack's memories into him. The results cause him to go berserk, and Jack-5 tears free and trashes the lab. As he brings down his arms in a crushing blow on Jane, the memories re-assert themselves and Jack-5 stops, looking over his body in confusion. Jane goes to him and he picks her up in his arms gently, his original personality fully restored.

Jack-6 (Tekken 6, Tekken 7)[]

Official Strategy Guide
Jack-5 finished collecting fight data at The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 and headed back to the G Corporation's laboratories. Jane used this data in her research to develop more sophisticated combat algorithms for him.

While G Corporation was at war with the Mishima Zaibatsu, mass-produced Jack units were deployed around the world. Unconfirmed reports claimed the Mishima Zaibatsu had begun manufacturing a copy of the Jack unit designed for large-scale massacre. Jane was angry that Jack was being imitated, so she sent in the more sophisticated model Jack-6 in order to investigate the truth behind the rumors.[20]

Jack-7 (Tekken 7 - Tekken 8)[]

Official Website Profile (English)
Originally a military-use JACK unit developed by the Russian army, JACK-7 was rebuilt by Jane and fitted with improvement thanks to G Corporation's research facility. His sheer power and ability to handle a variety of weapons made him a formiddable opponent.[21]

Prologue
It was no secret that G Corporation was locked in a power struggle with the Mishima Zaibatsu. However, within G Corp itself, another battle was raging: the battle to create the ultimate next-gen humanoid weapon.

On one side was the development team behind the Jack series led by Jane; on the other was the research team responsible for Gigas, a bio-enhanced super human. With his massive size and uncanny mobility, Gigas was hailed for his versatility in combat, and some saw him as more than capable of dislodging the Jack series from its position as G Corp's premier weapon.

Both teams entered their weapons into the King of Iron Fist Tournament to decide once and for all which was the best, and Jack's opponent was a wrestler in a jaguar mask.[14]

Character Episode Prologue
After excelling in its performance tests, Jack-7 was officially adopted as the main humanoid weapon of G Corporation.

Amidst the mass-production of Jack-7s, Jane threw herself into the development of a new model, featuring revolutionary specs befitting a next-gen machine.

Just as her work as to come to fruition, the Mishima Zaibatsu announced the next entry in The King of Iron Fist Tournament.

Jane completed Jack-8's combat data collection and made the final adjustments for the new machine to enter the tournament.

"Go get 'em, my sweet Jack! Collect data on their battle movements and power up!"

"(Roger.)"

Ending Description
Being declared the winner of King of Iron Fist Tournament, Jack poses briefly for the crowd before returning back to an equally excited Jane, who asks Jack to demonstrate the attacks of the defeated opponents. Jack first starts with Lee Chaolan, entering Hitman and performing a powerful kick. Next comes Steve Fox, and Jack performs an incredibly fast series of punches. Finally, Jane asks Jack to copy Alisa Bosconovitch, but to her shock, Jack proceeds to tear his head off before handing it to her. As Jane shouts that he did not have to learn THAT technique, she is soon blasted into the sky by Jack's exploding head.

Summary of In-Game Events
Jack-8 is called forth by Nina Williams during G Corporation's invasion of Yakushima following the progress being made by allied resistance forces. Although Jack-8's durability proves too much for Alisa by herself, he is ultimately taken by surprise by both Lili and Asuka Kazama and is finally defeated.

In the bad ending, Jack-8 was apparently repaired and is now leading a new squadron of Jack-7 as part of G Corporation's ground forces.

Other Appearances[]

Tekken: The Motion Picture[]

Jack-2's were first built by Doctor Bosconovitch prior to his kidnapping, as a weapon meant to supress uprisings. Unwilling to build a weapon of mass destruction, Bosconovitch implanted a special conscience chip into the series that would give them the human discretion of right and wrong. One such unit, would choose to escape the battlefield after finding a sickly Jane, and its priority changed to protecting her and finding a cure.

Jack-2 is first seen with Jane, demanding to be given an invitation to the King of Iron Fist Tournament. Initially, Lee sends Bruce Arvin to challenge Jack-2 to see if he is strong enough, and Jack-2 defeats Bruce easily and punches him into the harbor. An impressed Lee allows Jack and Jane to board the ship to the tournament's venue.

On the Mishima Zaibatsu's private island, however, Jack-2 wanders off in search for Doctor Bosconovitch. By coincidence, he finds Interpol officer, Lei Wulong, also conducting an investigation. Jack-2 reveals that he was searching for the doctor in order to find a cure for Jane's disease, and the pair would make their way to the island's secret laboratory. After dispatching a trio of Prototype Jacks, they make their way to Bosconovitch's laboratory, where he was forced to conduct biological expirements for the Zaibatsu.

When the island's self-destruct mechanism is activated, Jack-2 sacrifices himself by holding a hangar door leading to a submarine. His body is eventually torn in half by the door, and he entrusts Jane's safety to Lei and Doctor Bosconovitch before they are forced to abandon him to his fate.

Street Fighter X Tekken[]

There is a playable Jack model called JACK-X (Jack Cross), exclusive to this game. This Jack model is based on Jack-6 and is said to be its backup model. Its partner is Bryan Fury. Guile's Swap Costume is based on Jack-X's design.

Profile
A powerful robot that responds only to the orders of its master. It serves as a backup to the JACK-6 line of robots. It possesses superior attack range and power, and is also equipped with several high-powered all-range attacks.[2]

Prologue
Bryan plots to steal Pandora and its overwhelming power for himself; however, on his hunt for it, he breaks into a G Corporation laboratory instead and finds a series of Jack-X robots. He accidentally awakens one of the robots. It authenticates Bryan as its commander. Bryan brings Jack-X along to help him retrieve Pandora.[23]

Rival Fight
Bryan and Jack-X encounter Guy and Cody. Jack-X scans Guy and Cody's power levels on Bryan's command. Satisfied with the readings Jack-X gives, Bryan laughs and challenges them to a fight. Guy dismisses them, saying they don't have time for it, but Bryan sets Jack-X on them. Guy and Cody quickly change their mind about fighting, and Bryan says their battle will be 'to the death'.[24]

Ending Description
Bryan and Jack-X approach Pandora, with Bryan considering how to put it to use. Pandora opens of its own accord and sends a beam of light up into the sky. Jack-X begins to reboot; once the process is complete, it turns on Bryan, identifying him as a target for extermination. Bryan takes cover behind Pandora. Grinning, he leaps over Pandora to engage Jack-X.[25]

Tekken Tag Tournament 2[]

Jack-6 appears as a playable character in Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

Profile

Special Alliance Partners:

Tekken Revolution[]

Jack-6 appeared in the now defunct Tekken Revolution as a playable character.

Non-playable Jacks[]

Modified Gun Jack[]

Cyber-Jack

Modified Gun Jack in Devil Within.

A modified Gun Jack is the first boss of Tekken 5's Devil Within mode. Created by Doctor Abel, it is a fully armored version of Gun Jack.[citation needed] Attacks include cannon blasts and machine guns.

Devil Within Jacks[]

In Tekken 5, several Jacks appear in Devil Within mode as generic minions. The first one is the most commonly encountered enemy, which is a medium-sized Jack. Their attacks are similar to Hwoarang's moveset. The second one has the same model as Jack-5 and it is occasionally encountered. The third Jack is also encountered occasionally; this is a slim and acrobatic Jack that performs attacks similar to Nina Williams' moveset. These Jacks are encountered in Stage 1 and 2 and the first half of Stage 3. Starting from the second half of Stage 3, and then in Stages 4 and 5, all the Jacks are given a monster-like appearance due to the control being exerted by the ruins.

Scenario Campaign Jacks[]

Several Jacks appear as enemies in Tekken 6's Scenario Campaign. Their exact model is unknown; although they use Jack-6's in-game model and customizations, Kazuya states that they are older models[27] They mainly appear on stages where G Corporation is the enemy.

Gameplay[]

All Jack robots embody the huge, slow and powerful fighter archetype: they only need a few solid hits to destroy an opponent, but they're very slow and their limited moveset can get predictable, so they require good timing. Jacks deal good damage and have good pokes and throws, but the real thing that makes them shine is the ridiculous range on most of their moves. Most of their punishers hit from very far away.

Starting with Jack-6, Jack's arms can be extended with some charged moves, allowing him to increase his (already long) range.

The giant robotic upper body gives the Jack robots formidable swiping range, strong physical clout, and some very useful lows, such as his fast, long range d/b+1. Their myriad of throw commands are noticeably more damaging than the norm, and throughout the games the Jack robots have remained one of the strongest, if not the strongest, single throw fighters in the series.

Despite a move set that lacks any hint of evasiveness and more than a few clunky slow commands, the robots have an impressive mix of attacks that balance out their sluggishness. With an arsenal of trusty, solid mids and some lows ranging from pesky to lethal, an advanced Jack will use good movement and attack mix ups to be a nightmare at middle distances. It's close range game is slower and riskier but includes the threat of command grabs that will annihilate anyone incapable of breaking throws.

Fighting Style[]

While other characters have their own fighting styles, what Jack robots do is best described as "using brute force to annihilate the opponent", and their fighting style is listed as "Brute Force" (or variations on this theme) accordingly.

Character Relationships[]

  • Dr. Bosconovitch - The Jack series' original designer and creator. Jack-2 entered the second tournament to rescue him from Kazuya Mishima and the Mishima Zaibatsu.
  • Prototype Jack - The Jack series' prototype model and rival.
  • Jane - Jane was rescued from a germ warfare combat zone by Jack-2. When Jack-2 was destroyed, she devoted a great deal of time to repairing him, even infiltrating Mishima Industries to try and recover his ability to feel emotions. Jack-2 (and his subsequent form, Gun Jack) were very loyal to and protective of Jane, saving her from perilous situations more than once. She began developing Jack units for G Corporation shortly after the events of Tekken 3.
  • Kazuya Mishima - The target of the original Jack in the first tournament. Years later, Jack robots sent by G Corporation attacked him at Hon-Maru. From Tekken 6 onwards, Kazuya commands G Corporation's Jack units. In its Tekken 7 ending, Jack is overwhelmed with pride on receiving a personal letter from Kazuya.
  • Heihachi Mishima - Jacks also attacked Heihachi at Hon-Maru. Heihachi was briefly thought to have been killed in the explosion caused by the self-destructing Jack-4 squadron.
  • Raven - Raven witnessed Jack-4s attacking Heihachi and Kazuya at Hon-Maru.
  • Jinpachi Mishima - Jinpachi was freed and awakened by the explosion caused by the self-destructing Jack-4s at Hon-Maru.
  • Lars Alexandersson - In the beginning of Tekken 6's Scenario Campaign, a single self-destructing Jack injures Lars, temporarily giving him amnesia.
  • Lucky Chloe - A colleague of Jack-7. In Jack-7's ending, she accidentally bumps into him and causes him to fall from G Corporation's Millennium Tower.
  • Gigas - A humanoid weapon made by a rival research team at G Corporation. Gigas is in competiton with Jack-7 for the title "Chief Humanoid Weapon". Both of them were entered into The King of Iron Fist Tournament 7 to decide who would take the title.
  • King II - The opponent of Jack-7 in the seventh tournament.
  • Bryan Fury - The master of Jack-X in Street Fighter X Tekken (non-canon).

Trivia[]

General:

  • Jack-5, Jack-6 and Jack-X's all share a very similar physical appearance.
  • In Tekken 7's Story mode, the group of Jack-6s attacking Heihachi and Akuma at the Mishima Dojo mirrors the opening of Tekken 5, which in itself appears as a flashback sequence in Tekken 7''s story.
  • The original Jack, Jack-5 and Jack-7 are the only Jack models to not appear in a Tag game.

Tekken:

  • In Tekken 1, Jack's sub-boss is Prototype Jack, whom he canonically defeats in this tournament.[citation needed]
  • In this game, Jack shares his voice with Ganryu and Heihachi.

Tekken:

  • Jack-2 appears in Tekken 2's console opening cinematic.

Tekken 3:

  • On the first successful playthrough with Gun Jack a 'bad' ending for Gun Jack will be played. This is the same as his 'good' ending, which can be unlocked on a second successful playthrough, except that in the bad ending, the movie stops before Gun Jack shields Jane and saves her.
  • Gun Jack has an unlockable third outfit. After playing as him ten times, selecting him with either the triangle or start button will give him the appearance of Jack-2.

Tekken 5 & Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection:

  • Jack-5 appears in Tekken 5's opening cinematic.
    • Additionally, numerous Jack-4 units appear in the first section of the opening cinematic.
  • Jack-5's sub-boss is Heihachi Mishima.
  • In Jack-5's Story Battle mode, after defeating and giving one final blow to Jinpachi, Jack-5 scans and analyzes his opponent, resulting in a system message on his analyzer saying; "ALL LOG ANALYSIS COMPLETE. PREPARE TO INSTALL EMOTION ENGINE BINARY." The Emotion Engine that it is referring to is a central processing unit developed by Sony Computer Entertainment in partnership with Toshiba for use in the PlayStation 2 console.
  • When Jack-5's memories re-asserts, it showed stills of clips taken from past games, such as the opening of Tekken 2, Jack-2's ending in Tekken 2 and Gun Jack's ending in Tekken 3.

Tekken 6 & Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion:

  • Jack-6 can be customized to resemble Jacks 1 through 5, Prototype Jack, and Gun Jack.
  • Jack-6 is the only Jack model that can be seen speaking in the mainline games. Scenario Campaign depicts him speaking in block capitals and brackets, and in broken, child-like English.[28]
    • Note that Jack-6 only speaks in text; he still does not have voice lines past grunts.
      • Despite Jack-6's affiliation with G Corporation, he still has unique dialogues with other G Corporation associates. When Kazuya encounters Jack-6, he theorizes that the robot's presence is down to Jane being busy with another field test. Should Jack encounter G-Corp soldiers (while rescuing Julia Chang), Anna, or Bruce, they will simply remark that the unit has gone rogue for some reason.
  • Jack-6 is the boss for Container Terminal 3 during Scenario Campaign
  • Jack-6's Item Move has him begin charging exhaust pipes on his back until they overheat and explode, damaging him and any nearby opponent. His second item move has him kneel before firing shoulder missiles.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2

  • Jack-6's item move has him lie down and try to fire his missiles, only for the missiles to not detach themselves from his backpack, causing him to crash forward.
  • Jack-6 has a special winpose with Alisa Bosconovitch where she will mimic him when he performs various strongman poses. The pair also have a second winpose, where Jack-6 will raise his hands and fly away, with Alisa copying his pose and flying away as well.
  • One of Jack-6's ghost is named after Japanese commentator and player Jackller, who eventually changed his ID to Tekken Bancho instead.

Tekken 7 & Tekken 7: Fated Retribution

  • King is Jack-7's Character Episode partner.
    • As seen in King's Character Episode ending, Jack-7 seems to be able to copy his opponent's moves, reminiscent of the mimicry used by Mokujin and Combot.
  • The Jack-4 model used in Story Mode is the same as both Jack-6 and Jack-7, but without neon lights on the body.
  • Jack-7 has a preset outfit which resembles Gold Lightan from the series Gold Lightan the Golden Warrior.

Tekken 8

  • Like in Tekken 3, this game features a previous version of Jack as an alternate outfit. In this case, Jack-7 is an alternate outfit for Jack-8.
    • Several Jack-7s also appear during Story Mode.
  • Jack-8 has a special intro with Alisa Bosconovitch.
    • Alisa will attempt to greet her opponent before her head accidentally falls off. Jack-8 then picks it up, and, upon Alisa's request to return it, flings it back onto Alisa's body.

Other:

  • Jack-X is the only Jack model so far that has recorded voice lines in a video game.
  • In Tekken: Blood Vengeance, Jack-6's dossier is briefly seen when Anna Williams opens a file containing documents on various persons of interest.
  • Jack-7 is featured in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a spirit. His spirit battle has the player battle against a group of four Donkey Kongs, all of whom must be defeated.
