For the while-running side kick performed by several characters, see Leaping Sidekick.
Leaping Side Kick, later renamed to Black Wing Bolt, is a move used by Jin Kazama since Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, replacing the command of Spinning High Kick before its command was changed in Tekken 7: Fated Retribution to give way for Halberd Heel
Description[]
While in his second Mental Alertness, Jin goes for a leaping jump kick to the opponent's head.
In Street Fighter X Tekken, when this move is utilized, Jin's leg is surrounded by red lightning.
In Tekken (Mobile), this move serves as one of his Guard Break Waza Cards. It deals weak damage to the opponent.
In Tekken 8, Jin will briefly have shadowy wings akin to his devil form which vanish after the move has been completed. Additionally, the move will cause chip damage, and Jin can transition into a Crouch Dash with d/f. Doing this transition will make his Wind Hook Fist and Thrusting Uppercut their just frame versions without needing a just frame input (denoted by his red glowing eye). When Jin performs this attack in Tekken 8's Story Mode during segments where he has lost access to the Devil Gene, the move reverts back to its Tekken 7 incarnation, losing all its transitions and special effects but giving a guaranteed follow-up on hit.
