Muso Tettsui (無双鉄槌 Musō Tettsui?, lit. "Unmatched Iron Hammer"), also known as Destiny Hammer, is a move used by Heihachi Mishima since Tekken 6 which replaced his Twin Pistons. In both Tekken 6 and Tekken Tag Tournament 2, the second hit will Bound.

Kazumi Mishima also has a variant of this known as Crimson Dawn.

In Tekken 8 this attack is replaced by Muso Tekken. The impact animation of the second hit is retained for the second hit of the attack Wind God's Tettsui.

Description[]

Heihachi shuffles forward and performs an uppercut with his forward hand. He then steps all the way through into a low forward stance and swings his right hand down in an overhead hammer fist. This connects with his opponent's head and bowls them over.

Usage[]

While not as frightening as the Twin Pistons, Muso Tettsui is still a solid follow-up to the generic d/f+1 and, due to the fast i13 speed of the first hit, can easily be used to poke away at an opponent for openings alongside Double Palm Strike. Additionally, the tool provides strong wall pressure as the second hit will wall splat to provide Heihachi with a combo. Since its introduction, the attack's second hit can be delayed. However, the move is only a natural combo if the second hit occurs immediately after the first hit connects.

In Tekken 6, the move's smaller range compared to Heihachi's Hammer Punch, most especially in its lower hit box made it a decent combo tool early into a combo but decreased in utility in longer combos, although the string was a viable ender at the wall.

In Tekken Tag Tournament 2, however, bounding an opponent early to allow for a partner's follow-up allowed more flexible combos and Muso Tettsui would see more use than in its previous iteration.

In Street Fighter X Tekken, the move has a variation called Muso Kageki. Muso Tettsui and other variations are unique attacks/command normals instead of special moves.
