Armor King's health bar flashing red, because Wang has taken a lot of damage.

Netsu Power is a system introduced in Tekken Tag Tournament and made a return in Tekken Tag Tournament 2. It is when an on-screen character receives a certain amount of damage, causing the off-screen character's life-bar to flash. This is because the off-screen character is "angry". If the on-screen character tags out while the off-screen character's life-bar is flashing, the tagged character will become slightly stronger. The number of hits required for the Netsu activation depends on which characters you have teamed up.

This is similar to the Rage system introduced in Tekken 6.

Tekken Tag Tournament[]

See Main Page: Tekken Tag Tournament/Netsu System

The Netsu first appeared in Tekken Tag Tournament. This is the state of the supporting character's life bar which starts flashing red. It will flash when the character on the screen receives a certain number of hits. Depending on the relationship the two characters have, the number of hits may vary before activating the Netsu. For example, Michelle Chang and Julia Chang are two characters who like each other. Because of this, both of them will activate Netsu mode faster than characters who dislike each other like Kuma and Paul Phoenix.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2[]

Ttt2 netsu

Raven has taken enough damage that his tag teammate's health bar flashes red, granting them greater damage if they are now tagged in.

The Netsu Power appears again in Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Depending on the relationships between the characters, the gauge activates more quickly or not. For example, Ling Xiaoyu and Panda are two characters who like each other. As a result, both of them will activate Netsu mode faster than disliked characters like Raven and Sergei Dragunov.

The bar flashes as long as the supporting character does not take the place of the one on the screen. Once on the field, the Netsu lasts 10 seconds. If it is still flashing but the character receives a certain number of hits activating the supporting character's Netsu, the character's Netsu on the screen will automatically stop. Also, if the main character has the Netsu activated but changes places with the support character, the effect will stop as soon as they leave the screen.

Trivia[]
