The Silver Fighting God (白銀の闘神 Shirogane no tōshin?, lit. "Silver God of Fighting") is the second known creature in the Tekken series belonging to the classification of Toshin (闘神 Tōshin?, lit. "God of Fighting"). It was introduced in Tekken 8 with the addition of new character Miary Zo, and appears to be a benevolent being worshiped as a deity by the people of Madagascar.
Biography[]
Personality[]
Unlike its predecessor, Ancient Ogre, the Silver Fighting God is seen as benevolent. It is not known to harm humans, and is instead treated as a deity of protection.[3]
Appearance[]
The Silver Fighting God has a bestial form similar to that of True Ogre. It is bipedal, with reptilian, clawed feet and digitigrade legs wrapped at the ankles with tattered white cloth. Its face resembles that of a lion, with bony growths along the jaw and the sides of the head, and surrounding a single, pointed, twisting horn coming from the center of its forehead. It has a large silver mane around its head and chest, and large white feathered wings speckled with black near the tips. The Silver Fighting God also has the tail of a lemur, with black and white stripes. The underside of this tail appears to be scaled, as does the skin on the rest of its body. The exposed skin of the Silver Fighting God also bears glowing, blue symbols, seen across its torso, arms, legs, and tail.
While the Silver Fighting God's left arm is clawed with more bone-like growths coming from the elbow, its right arm is mostly humanoid until the elbow, where it transitions into multiple snakes. The Silver Fighting God wears a tattered loincloth around its waist, a band around its left thigh, white cloth around its left wrist, and multiple white necklaces.
Story[]
Character Relationships[]
- Miary Zo - Miary Zo was prophesized to one day gain the power of the Silver Fighting God. Six months before the events of Tekken 8, this prophecy came true. Miary Zo now utilizes the power of the Silver Fighting God, being dubbed the "Fighting God Reborn".
- Ancient Ogre - Ancient Ogre and The Silver Fighting God are beings of the same origin. While Ancient Ogre is seen as the first of its kind to "wake up", it is still only one of many, being placed in Mexico while the Silver Fighting God resided in Madagascar.[3]
- True Ogre - The true form of Ancient Ogre, who also shares the same origin as the Silver Fighting God.
Trivia[]
- In Miary Zo's official profile, ring-tailed lemurs are said to be known as messengers of the Silver Fighting God.[4]
- As Miary Zo gains the Silver Fighting God's powers and is called the "Fighting God Reborn", it is not clear if this deity is still physically alive, or if it only still exists in spirit.
- The Silver Fighting God's appearance was influenced by the wildlife surrounding it in Madagascar, meaning beings like it and the original Ancient Ogre are somehow shaped physically by the surroundings they are placed in, and possibly implying that their initial forms differ from those first seen by humans.[3]
- The Silver Fighting God has multiple physical similarities to True Ogre, specifically its Player 2 outfits from Tekken 3 and Tekken Tag Tournament. Both True Ogre and the Silver Fighting God have a face seemingly based on that of a lion, a large mane, and a muscular, humanoid upper body. Further, the Silver Fighting God has an arm made up of live snakes, similar to True Ogre's appearance in Tekken Tag Tournament 2.
