Sit is a stance used by the Jack series of androids, as well as Ganryu, Kuma I, Kuma II and Panda.
The stance can be used to roll forward or back, or to perform Sit Punches (with the exception of Ganryu).
From Tekken 2 onwards, a Sit can also be performed with 3+4, however P.Jack cannot use this input as he will perform the Giant Foot Stomp instead. Likewise, Gun Jack cannot normally use the 3+4 variation, however if the input is preceded immediately by a dash (e.g. f,f_b,b,N,3+4) he will sit. Jack-2 and later Jack models, as well as Prototype Jack, Kuma I, Kuma II and Panda can also perform a sit with d/b+3+4 or d/f+3+4, however Jack's d/f+3+4 variation was removed as of Tekken 5, leaving only Kuma and Panda with the d/f+3+4 variation. The variations allow the user to move slightly when dropping to the Sit position. Ganryu cannot perform these variations.
Jack-2 and later Jack models can also perform a Pancake Press during a Sit. Jack-2 can also hop immediately after sitting (e.g. 3+4,U); this hop is not possible with other Jack models and is not shown in move lists. During a hop, it is possible to perform Jack-2's jumping punches or kicks by inputting 1, 2, 3 or 4.
As of Tekken Tag Tournament, Ganryu received exclusive follow-ups in the Sit position. In Tekken 5, Ganryu's Sit animation was changed to differentiate it from Jack and Kuma/Panda.
Ganryu cannot perform a regular d+3+4 Sit in the PlayStation version of Tekken, despite having the move in the arcade version and in every game since. In that game, he can however end up in the Sit position following a Sumo Squash or a Get Up Punch, but he has no follow-ups aside from rolling back.
Gon has an identical move called the Butt Stomp, using the same d/b+3+4 input, however like Ganryu in Tekken 2, he cannot follow up with any moves aside from rolling.
