Thrusting Uppercut also known as Left Uppercut(左突き上げ hidari tsuki-age) in Japan, is a move for Jin Kazama that was introduced in Tekken 5. It replaces the original command of Left Drill Punch.
In Tekken Tag Tournament 2 it is also tag bufferable.
Description[]
Executed from a crouch dash, Jin leans back then performs a stiff left-handed uppercut that launches. There is also an enhanced variant called Electric Thrusting Uppercut.
In Street Fighter X Tekken, it became one of Jin's special attacks along with his Median Line Destruction to deal more damage to the opponent and also serves as one of his combo launchers.
In Tekken (Mobile), it was later used by Tiger Miyagi as one of his Combo Starter Waza Cards as Jin uses this move along with his Leaping Side Kick as part of his basic combo launchers to deal a tap damage to the opponent.
In Tekken 8, his Thrusting Uppercut became the first stage of his new Rage Art, Polar Demon Gouge. The attack is replaced by the Electric Thrusting Uppercut during Heat and it also has built in Tornado move property. Additionally using any move that can transition to a Crouch Dash will also transform the Thrusting Uppercut into its Electric variation without needing the precise motion (denoted by Jin's glowing red eye during the dash).
