Twin Hammers is a move used by Heihachi Mishima from Tekken 4 until Tekken 8, where it was replaced by Heaven's Merciless Wrath.
Description[]
Heihachi executes a move known in Karate as the 'Yama-tsuki' (山突き). This is a double punch, with one hand jabbing (oi-zuki) to head height and the other punching simultaneously in a reverse punch that stops short to target the gut (ura-tsuki) (the actual attack height is classified as a mid). As Heihachi punches, he twists the hip of his lower hand in order to thrust forward, giving twisting power to the attack.
In Tekken 4 only, the attack could be charged up, and would knock the opponent down on normal hit. The move was given an extension in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection called the Twin Hammer Volley, performed by pressing 1+2 again after the initial hit.
Trivia[]
- The attack also appears in Soulcalibur III as Lynette's 4B. Unlike its Tekken counterpart, Lynette's knocked the opponent down.
