The Strangest Things: Purging of Evil is the official fourth Strangest Things and the sequel to the Last Revelation and this takes place six months after the events of third and final part of Strangest Things: The Last Revelation which is also the same time as in the game of Tekken 8. This story focuses of Jun "Hunyo" Panganiban and his group are about to face a new adversary who is the late Keiya "Kei" Cashimiro's former enemy Lee Jang-geum who is a notorious bomber and a control freak who will not hesitate to kill anyone who gets into his way and his main goal of taking over Silveria Corporation and was responsible for the surprise ambush towards Keiya's son, Rayver "Rei" Cashimiro while his daughter Rhima Panganiban was reluctantly travel to the World of Tekken alongside Hunyo's old friend Roderick "Roddy" Nacianceno to restore the broken link between their respective worlds as her current relationship with her game partner, Jin Kazama became damaged during their six months of separation because of his broken promise to visit her in the real world.
In the second part, Rhima disguises herself as Corey Yeun, a missing rich heiress who participates in the Miss Global 2016 being targeted by a Chinese mafia group known as Bloody Lotus. Brian Navarro who is Hunyo's rival, temporarily leads his group to stop the mafia group from setting their plans in motion.
Much like in Last Revelations. it retains more comedy and crazy gags as well as the cameos of other characters in different Filipino teleseryes are showing throughout the chapters. This story also includes Filipino cursing which also serves as a gag used by Esti Archer's dubbing and more street fighting which Hunyo usually brawls aside from utilizing his fighting style when he fights against his enemies. In the second part, more romance and comedy are given in the story as some characters in real-life are making their guest appearances (O-Boys in O-Bar as an example).
The third part takes place after the second part of the series where the genre changes from romance to horror where Jun "Hunyo" Panganiban renewed his former role as a paranormal investigator who investigates the kidnapping caused by an unnamed cult lead by a devil worshipper named Rham Kazaa and was teamed up with Juancho Caluag, Emmanuel and Jovito "Jovit" Palanca while Rhima returns to the World of Tekken along with Broadie Miller, Reggie Mendoza and Jordan Aziz to find the leader of the Tekken Monks which is actually Heihachi Mishima, who survived from getting thrown in the lava river.

Returning Characters:
Jun "Hunyo" Panganiban- is the father of Rhima Panganiban, the college sports professor of karate class within the physical education and athletics in UE Letre and an infamous vigilante who fights injustice and global terrorism. He begins to search for Rei's wherabouts where he was presumed dead in the explosion and finding the culprit behind Silveria Corporation's destruction. Hunyo is revealed as a former paranormal investigator on his youth and the main reason he is able to see spirits and sensing the energy ki used by Jun Kazama. Hunyo eventually battles Lee Jang-geum and neutralizing his threat, saving the Metro and other provinces of the Philippines. Hunyo later supports his daughter Rhima and gather everyone to stage a massive prayer rally to send holy prayers to Rhima with the assist by Lee and the combine forces of both Yggdrasil and UN to give their energy to her until Angel Jin supports her energy ki with his own. In the end of the first part, Hunyo was transferred to UE Manila branch to train new students in Karate and Self-Defense and was supported by Lee. In the second part, he made a cameo to give his leadership to Brian temporarily and his game partner Lee will join up with them as his representative.
Like in the Last Revelations, Hunyo's physical appearance and body language are still based on Filipino actor Dingdong Dantes. However starting from Chapter 21 onwards, he cut his hair shorter to resemble Michael Trajano, a main protagonist played by Dantes within his dual role along with the main antagonist Jonathan "Nate" David from I Can See You's AlterNate.
His game partner is Lee Chaolan.
Rhima Panganiban- is the daughter of Jun "Hunyo" Panganiban and a Grade 11 homeroom teacher in UST and both a genius prodigy and a video game enthusiast. She is formerly one of the members of an E-Gamer group called "Devil Slayer" who battles in the E-Sports global gaming tournament. Currently, her relationship with her game partner, Jin Kazama was damaged due to his broken promise of wanting to see her in her world and her reasons of quitting the club because of this voice. Her father Hunyo, Brian and Jun are the ones knew that it was Jin who calls her as she considers this as a curse. However, she eventually learns Jin's reasons for calling her at her world when she and Roderick are now transported to the World of Tekken due to his chaotic brawl with his father Kazuya after he started terrorizing the innocent civilians. She later disguises herself as a Filipino man named Miro Cristobal during her trip to the World of Tekken since Nina had rescued her from the G Corp soldiers's attack until Jin forcibly exposes her disguise by hitting her with his Polar Demon Gouge Rage Art. She was currently under both Jin and Lars's protection after learning she became as Kazuya's main target following her arrival. In the middle of the story shows that she and Jin had repaired their current relationship but decided to move on from him for the time being due to wanting to fix herself and her family. Rhima's powers derived from the powers of the Kazama clan and she was able to siphon and absorbing the powers from Azazel and the Devil Gene which was enough to defeat and erased the fraction within Kazuya's devil powers and her mastery to control her powers was taught by Claudio Serafino. She also played with his group one last time under her codename "ArchKaiser" (a female counterpart of Devilster) before she officially quitted the group and focusing on her job as a full-time teacher. In the end of first part, Rhima was met up by Jin and they resumed their current relationship anew.
In the second part, Rhima disguises herself as Corey Yeun after learning about the real one was kidnapped by a Chinese mafia group called Bloody Lotus until the real Corey was rescued by Brian and his group including the authorities and her boyfriend Andrew Kwan. Rhima has to solve most of Corey's problems under her disguise and prove their wrongs.
She now resembling Fuko Kirisawa in Flame of Recca as she cuts her hair short but her short styled bob resembling Cheon Seo-jin in her last appearance of the infamous 2020 korean drama, Penthouse: War in Life where she was portrayed by Korean actress, Kim So-yeon. When posing as Miro Cristobal by covering her head with a long towel serving as a loose bandanna, she resembles Kim Ryeowook, one of the members of Super Junior during the episode of SJ Returns: Season 4 where he and his group were washed up when they made a mistake of singing the lyrics of Eunhyuk's Say My Name.
Her game partner is Jin Kazama.
Rolento Valdez- is the owner of Sharky Beach resort and both a grappler and mixed martial artist. He accompanies Hunyo to search and rescue Rei and the other surviving employees at the underground complex in Silveria Corporation. He later joins up with Hunyo and the group to stop Lee Jang-geum and his mercenaries and later in a massive prayer rally staged by him. In the end of the first part, he spars with King II at the beach resort he had owned. Rolento was not present in the second part due to him running his beach resort.
He now resembles Baki in later episodes of Grappler Baki where he finally grew his hair to resemble his mother Emi Akezawa who was later killed by his own father Yujiro Hanma.
His game partner is King II.
Brian Navarro- is the owner of the Chinese noodle house in Binondo and a former ruthless Philippine Taekwondo master. He along with Hunyo and Jun know about Rhima's problems. Brian is revealed as an 8th Dan black belt in Philippine Taekwondo as his game partner Baek eventually learns his main prowess but also being kept to his student Hwoarang who is now became the 8th Dan black belt in Taekwondo. He has a troubled past where he was framed for murdering the Taekwondo students, resulting his resignation in the Philippine Taekwondo Association. Brian also takes part of Hunyo's group to stop Lee Jang-geum and his mercernaries and later in a massive prayer rally staged by him while he was with his daughter Crimson "Cris" Navarro. In the end of the first part, he gives Hwoarang a face palm for his recklessness after he made an accident on his motorcycle and later serving Chinese food to Hunyo and the others. In the second part, Brian was given a temporary leadership by Hunyo and he leads to battle against the Chinese mafia group called Bloody Lotus. Since Baek is not playable in Tekken 8, his student Hwoarang offers him to become his game partner temporarily from he beginning since he was always being Crimson's game partner which Brian accepts.
His new appearance and hairstyle are still based on Kabuto Yakushi within his appearance in the Shinobi War in Naruto: Shippuden where he finally utilizes Orochimaru's powers. His Taekwondo style is Philippine based which his body language is from former actor, politician and Philippine Taekwondo master, Monsour Del Rosario.
His game partner is Hwoarang (temporary)
Roderick "Roddy" Nacianceno- is an old friend of Jun "Hunyo" Panganiban who works as a chef for the Royal family in Thailand and as one of the members of the Interpol. He continues to work in the Interpol during his vacation in the Philippines. He accompanies Hunyo and Rolento to search and rescue Rei and the surviving employees from the underground complex of Silveria Corporation following the bombing incident. He later accompanies Hunyo's daughter, Rhima to the World of Tekken. He serves as both the cook for the rebel forces and civilian wards and a moderator to the group He continued supporting both groups and as a uncle figure to Rhima when she tells him about her problems.
His present appearance is based on Hee Shin-dong, one of the members of an iconic K-Pop boyband, Super Junior as his current hairstyle is also based on Shindong who currently plays as a game MC and as a special guests in Knowing Bros also known as Men on a Mission.
Rayver "Rei" Cashimiro- is the current head of Silveria Corporation who created a time machine that can travel through the World of Tekken. He later aided Hunyo in his mission to find the culprit behind the bombing of his company and later in a massive prayer rally staged by him. In the end of the first part, he continued developing new gadgets and machines and was observed by Yoshimitsu. They take part on Brian's temporary leadership in battling the Chinese mafia group called Bloody Lotus during the second part.
His appearance and body language are from Dennis Trillo and most of his roles in Philippine Drama.
His game partner is Yoshimitsu.
Mariana Dominguez- is Rei's secretary who assisted her boss through his missions against the culprit behind the bombing.
Ibrahim Abdul Jaranilla- is the Zamboangan native and the leader of the Police Special Action Force within South Cotabato branch. He was later moved in Manila and joins with Hunyo in his missions to stop the Korean bomb terrorist, Lee Jang-geum. He later teams up with Reagan Sy in fending off the mercenaries. Ibrahim was not present in the massive prayer rally due to his religion as a Muslim. In the end of the first part, He continues to fight against the rebel group with Shaheen's assistance. Ibrahim was mentioned in the second part, being contacted by Reagan.
He is based on an American modern pirate Leon, in the fighting game, Battle Arena Toshinden 3 in its first and only playable appearance.
His game partner is Shaheen.
Ricardo "Rick" Marquez- is Rhima's rival in the arcade games and as both the Professor of Lyceum and the bodyguard of Rei. It reveals that he continues his double duties both as a professor and a demolition expert as Rei's bodyguard. He is also aiding Hunyo's missions to thwart the bombing attempts caused by Lee Jang-geum. He also takes part with Hunyo's group to battle Lee Jang-geum and his mercenaries and later in the massive prayer rally staged by him. In the end of the first part, he resumed his duties as a professor of Lyceum and reunites with Lars Alexandersson and being accompanied by Reggie Mendoza and Alisa Bosconovitch.
His game partner is Lars Alexandersson.
Krelian Sarthou- is a Christian singer of the unnamed Christian church that Hunyo had currently attended. He was the one who introduced Park Kyun-bin towards Rhima. He and Kyun-bin were enlisted by Hunyo to stage a massive prayer rally and both are known to convince the leader of Devil Slayer E-Gaming group, Mortimer ",Morty," Gonzales. In the end of the first part, he continues perfoming Christian songs by making a jam session with his band and was watched by his D-Group mates and his game partner, Claudio. Claudio mentions him by his first name, indicating that he was still his game partner.
He is still based on one of the christian singers in CCF, Jeffrey "Jeff" Lucas and his appearance is based on his official music video "My Soul" following the death of his nephew Catie Lucas.
His game partner is Claudio Serafino.
New Characters:
Part I:
Park Kyun-bin- is a Korean Christian singer who aspires to become a famous soloist in South Korea and a friend of Krelian Sarthou. He appears as a cameo twice in the third and final part of The Strangest Things: The Last Revelation and as Rhima's brief love interest after Jin Kazama who reveals that he had a crush on her since he had first seen her leaving the building. He became a struggling musician for a time due to his music compositions being blended between English and Korean and was not clicked. When Rhima makes a suggestion on making music compositions on his native language, he was surprised and also begins to know Rhima more. Kyun-bin was the one who can comfort on Rhima's problems when both she and Jin are separated between their respective worlds and supports her after learning she's going abroad but unknown to him that Rhima is going to the World of Tekken to restore the broken link between their worlds. He and Krelian are enlisted by Hunyo to staged a massive prayer rally and both are known to convince the leader of Devil Slayer E-Gaming group, Mortimer "Morty" Gonzales to support Rhima. In the end of the first part, he travels in Seoul and had passed the audition to continue his dream as an aspiring soloist and made a last and final contact with Rhima.
He is based on the world famous soloist and one of the members of Super Junior, Cho Kyuhyun. His role where he became a struggling musician is from Korean singer Yohan Hwang who is known to sing various OPM songs in his native language as his songs are not clicked. His name is a mix between Kyuhyun and the late Astro's Moon Bin and his last name is between Sandara Park and Leeteuk's true name Park Jeong-su.
Reagan Sy- is a Filipino-Chinese master sergeant from the Manila Police District who is infamous of taking out criminal behind bars. He decided to team up with Jun Panganiban to apprehend the bomb terrorist Lee Jang-geum. In the second part, he takes part with Benzon and his task force group called Task Force Tamaraw to rescue the real Corey Yeun from the Chinese mafia group after their right-hand man, Kai Cho and his group were deployed to kill the imposter.
His last name is based on the late Henry Sy who is the founder of all SM Supermalls all around Metro Manila and various provinces and his body language is based on Zoren Legaspi.
Kim Yuzon- is a Rizaleño native and an environmentalist who works on the Masungi Georeserve to guide the tourists. He briefly decided to aid Rick and Mariana to join up with Brian and Ibrahim to the Laguna Caldera in order to stop the time bombs implanted by Jang-geum after they saved his sister from a rebel group.
His name and his role as an environmentalist is based on TV weatherman, TV show hosts and voice actor, Kim Atienza and his overall appearance and his fighting style is based on the late Astro's Moonbin as his sister is based on Moonbin's younger sister, Moonsua who is a member of the K-Pop girl group, Billlie.
Kevin Duarte Figeroa- is the current owner of the hotel resort and boat services within Taal where Hunyo and the group were stayed overnight and he was knowledgable about his mother's family history. He was the son of Karen Duarte-Figeroa who was the daughter of the late Ruth and Nick Duarte and she and her late parents are the characters behind the 1995 remake film "Patayin sa Sindak si Barbara!"
Mortimer "Morty" Gonzales- is the leader of the E-Gaming group called Devil Slayer which represented their home country in the Philippines to battle in the global E-Gaming tournaments. He was convinced by both Krelian and Kyun-bin to rallying his group to join Hunyo to stage a massive prayer rally by sending holy prayers to Rhima. He is the only leader to learn about Rhima's travels in the World of Tekken where they currently played the game. After his group became the new champion for the E-Gaming global tournament, he respects Rhima's decision to quit E-Gaming and to focus more on her teaching career.
His appearance is based on the actor Joem Bascon and his surname Gonzales is based on Kapuso actor, Carlo Gonzales.
Part II:
Andrew Kwan- is a Singaporean who is an olympian and a practitioner of Wushu and Tai-Chi Chuan. He appears as a cameo in the end of the first part as the black hooded figure, searching for his missing girlfriend named Corey Yeun which happens to be kidnapped by the Chinese mafia group called Bloody Lotus. Andrew takes Jin's place to join up with Brian and his group including the authorities to rescue his girlfriend. It reveals that he was strongly dislike by Corey's mother due to his middle class status, leading Corey to rebel her parents.
He was based on Chinese-American actor, Henry Golding who is known to play Nick Young in the 2018 film, Crazy Rich Asians and his full name is a play on English voice actress in Animax, Andrea Kwan.
Corey Yeun- is a Chinese-American who is a model and beauty queen and her family is one of the richest families in Singapore. She has the exact face and appearance of Rhima Panganiban and she was the main target of the Chinese mafia group called Bloody Lotus and was initially kidnapped and used by them to get ransom money from her family. While she was missing, Rhima was chosen by Benzon and his task force group including Brian's group to disguise herself as her in order for her kidnappers to make a diversion to kill her as an imposter until she was rescued. It reveals that she rebels her parents for not accepting her long-time boyfriend Andrew Kwan due to his middle class status and her reasons of her participation of Miss Global 2016 is to keep away from her parents, leading her to get kidnapped.
She was based on Chinese-American actress, Constance Wu who played as Rachel Cho in the 2018 film, Crazy Rich Asians and her surname Yeun is based on Korean-American actor, Steven Yeun who played Glenn in AMC's The Walking Dead.
Han-Chen Yu- is the Chinese husband of Jacky Salcedo who runs a market fish stall and tea business as a market vendor and a well-known drunken master from Hong Kong. He fights using Zui Quan or drunken boxing in its purest form as opposed to Lei's own fighting style and he drinks a "special drink" on his jug that contains herbal tea. He decided to accompany Brian's group in meeting with Rhima Panganiban at Orchard Road where they commence the promotion of Miss Global 2016 and is more knowledgable about the Chinese mafia group, Bloody Lotus.
He is based on Double Dragon (Neo-Geo) character, Cheng-Fu and his fighting style was mixed between Cheng-Fu and Jamie Siu from Street Fighter 6 who is also known to drink a "special" drink containing herbal tea.
