Official Website Profile (English)
Enter Victor Chevalier, the living legend who founded the UN's independent forces.
Descended from a lineage of distinguished knights, Victor has dreamed of rescuing those in need ever since he was a boy. Following in the footsteps of his father, a high-ranking naval officer, Victor enlists in the French Navy.
Viewed as riding the coattails of his successful father by jealous peers, Victor was sent into dangerous operating zones again and again. Still, thanks to the time he spent diligently training with his father's mercenary friend from the East, Victor is able to use his knowledge of combat to come back from every mission alive and victorious.
Famous for his penny-pinching nature and the long list of broken hearts he's left in his wake, Victor leaves a trail of rumors and stories wherever he goes.
Before he knows it, Victor earns himself the codename "Phantom Raven," and is looked upon with both fear and awe by others in the military.
Victor leaves the Navy to join the UN, hoping to find a way to help even more people as well as explore new paths outside the constraints of working for the state.
Soon, though, he begins to sense that the world is on the brink of being taken over by a corporate giant. In response, he starts securing the means needed to counter the corporation's private armed forces.
In preparation for the coming upheaval, Victor exhausts all the means of negotiation he has available to him and succeeds in founding armed forces that have the authority to act at their own discretion.
He directs the Raven Unit—an elite team he trained himself—to conduct special ops all over the world while in the meantime, he takes up the mantle as leader of the UN forces.
Time passes, and the flames of G Corp's brutal military invasion have begun to engulf the world. Having foreseen such a future, Victor takes command of his new forces and readies himself for the fight.
"We'd best hold the reins to the global balance of power."
Armed with an haute couture suit from an established design house and the latest optical weapons, Victor, the living legend, retakes his place on the battlefield.[2]
Character Episode Prologue
Victor Chevalier is the legendary founder of the UN's independent forces unit and is known by his codename: Phantom Raven.
The admiral worked tirelessly for world peace, and to end the ever-expanding conflict between the Mishima Zaibatsu and G Corporation.
Amidst his efforts, The King of Iron Fist Tournament was announced in order to choose the next head of the Mishima Zaibatsu.
Believing a UN-controlled conglomerate could bring an end to the war, Victor took up his beloved Takemikazuchi blade and joined the tournament.
"When it comes to the global balance of power, we'd best be the ones calling the shots."
Ending Description
A large UN submarine is seen floating on the surface of the ocean at night, two guards patrolling atop it. One guard mentions that Victor has won and brought the Mishima Zaibatsu under the control of the UN, however G Corporation has yet to cease causing violence. The second guard remarks that they are nearing the port, and that they hope nothing happens before they can arrive. Seconds later, a helicopter flies over head and multiple G Corporation soldiers descend onto the top of the submarine.
The G Corporation soldiers charge at the two UN soldiers, who aim their guns and prepare to shoot. However, they are stopped by Victor's voice off-screen, reprimanding them for planning to shoot without having permission to do so. He steps between the guards while spinning his karambit, telling the two to leave it to him. Walking towards the approaching G Corp assailants calmly, Victor methodically disarms and knocks out two of them. As a third attempts to flee, Raven appears behind the soldier and halts them, turning them back to Victor who thanks Raven for his assistance. Victor incapacitates this soldier as well. The final soldier atop the submarine attempts to draw his gun and shoot at Victor, but is thwarted once Raven removes the gun from his hands and tosses it off of the submarine.
Victor counts the final soldier and incapacitates him using hand-to-hand combat. The sun is beginning to rise on the horizon, and Victor tells the remaining guards and Raven that they can handle the cleanup, as Victor has "a lady [he] can't bear to keep waiting". As Victor walks towards the end of the submarine, one of the UN guards remarks their disbelief that Victor may have deployed a submarine simply to impress a woman. The guard asks if this is normal in France, to which Raven replies "No, it's just him." The final shot is of Victor continuing to walk down the submarine as the subtitles read "(So that's why he didn't have his sword...)".
Summary of In-Game Events
Following Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima's clash in New York, Kazuya announces an eighth tournament. Victor is informed by Raven of this and their higher-ups' order a counterattack. However, knowing the counterattack order is a waste of time, Victor instructs Raven to evacuate civilians instead.[6]
Victor surmises that Heihachi's intention had always been to stop forces such as Kazuya from bringing destruction to the world. Raven tells Victor that Heihachi Mishima is dead, but there is still one man who carry his bloodline and ambition is currently resisting against Kazuya, as a human, referring to Lars Alexandersson. This allows Victor to form a joint operation with Yggdrasil and aid Jin.[7]
Victor meets with Lars and Lee Chaolan during the finals of Kazuya's tournament in Rome, where the UN and Yggdrasil launch a joint assault on the tournament to evacuate the spectators and attempt to stop Kazuya. Unfortunately, the UN and Yggdrasil are too late to realize that Kazuya set up the tournament to lure Zafina into his trap and unseal Azazel from her body, then absorbs the Devil Gene progenitor monster to become a True Devil. As Jin lost his will to access his devil's power since his last battle against Kazuya a week ago, Victor, Lars, Lee, Alisa Bosconovitch, Hwoarang, Reina and Claudio Serafino holds off True Devil Kazuya from nearing Jin, in order for the young Kazama to escape with Ling Xiaoyu, Asuka Kazama and Emilie de Rochefort safely to Yakushima and regain his lost power.[8]
Following Claudio's sacrifice, Kazuya retreats to instead launch an attack on Yakushima. Ahead of a greater battle on the Yakushima battlefield, the UN and Yggdrasil gains an expanded alliances from the other tournament participants who allied with Yggdrasil against G Corporation. During the war, Victor is aided by Shaheen, King and Steve Fox against Sergei Dragunov's G Corporation unit. While the three fighters fights off Dragunov's G soldiers, Victor fights Dragunov in combat. Despite Victor's victory, Dragunov escapes from being executed.[9]
In the good ending, Victor can be seen along with Raven leading lines of UN soldiers.[10]
